A three-day workshop, including discussion and practice with MDSplus. MDSplus is the de-facto standard data management tool for the magnetic fusion community, responsible for safeguarding data produced by billions of dollars of hardware at 46 sites worldwide. We'll share some helpful tricks for how to navigate, populate, and manipulate MDSplus data structures with discussion and hands-on activities. A basic knowledge of Python or Matlab is recommended, as it will make lab-practical activities more valuable. Please bring a laptop..
