Abstract: Following the publishing of the FESAC Long Range Plan, the NASEM report on Bringing Fusion to the U.S. Grid, and the White House Bold Decadal Vision for commercial fusion energy, there's has been a surge of community based sponsored workshops. Building off the recommendations made in the LRP to grow the fusion materials and technologies programs, these workshops are working to better defined the outstanding challenges and gaps and outline potential pathways forward. The Fusion Technology Program (Fusion Materials, Fusion Nuclear Science, and Enabling Technologies) as part of the Fusion Energy Sciences Program Office recognizes these activities as a community-based path to a more integrated and collaborative public and public private partnership technology program. To support these efforts, interests, and potential workforce growth, it is important to stay informed of the current Office of Science sponsored research guidelines and engaged with FES and more broadly the Office of Science activities. This seminar will cover the current and future aspects of the Fusion Technology Program, Office of Science current guidance, and ways to engage with FES and the Office of Science.
