By the time Paul Thomas retired from MIT in 2014, he had introduced over 500,000 school children to the mysteries of magnetism with his Mr. Magnet Science Show.
Recently the PSFC's Matt Fulton found himself playing guitar and singing for a new audience, his work colleagues, welcoming them to an end-of-the-week Zoom concert of “pub tunes."
“Investigating the complex interface behavior when two quantum systems are coupled is a treasure island to be explored for new discoveries and for advancing the field,” says PSFC senior research scientist Jagadeesh Moodera.
“Majorana fermions are these exotic things, that have long been a dream to see, and we now see them in a very simple material — gold,” says PSFC senior research scientist Jagadeesh Moodera.
